What we can and cannot do

Passports

All applications must be lodged in person and by appointment only at the Embassy in Zagreb. Please visit the Australian Passports portal for more information on how to apply for a new passport or renew your passport, the rules and processes for getting a passport, urgent applications, you can resume or track your passport application, report your passport lost or stolen, and much more.

Passport fees are payable in Croatian kuna (HRK) in cash only.  Please click here for passport fees.

Notarial Services

Please ensure that documents relating to the notarial services you require from the Australian Embassy, are presented in the correct form and that you provide the correct instructions for the notarial service you require. If you are unsure of the legislative requirements relating to the notarial service you require, you should seek independent legal advice.

Please note that neither the Australian Government nor the Australian Embassy in Croatia guarantees the legal effectiveness of the notarised document or the accuracy of its content. Fees paid for notarial services are non-refundable.

Please bring your valid passport or ID card and the original documents to the appointment.

Counter hours

Client counter hours are from  9:00 am – 12:00 pm Monday to Friday except for public holidays.  Appointments are required for passport and notarial services.
