Passports

How to apply for a passport with the Australian Embassy in Zagreb.

If you are eligible for an adult or child renewal, you can lodge your application by mail.

All other applications must be submitted in person and by appointment only.  Please contact the Embassy to discuss your passport application process and requirements.

Please note: We only accept electronic payments or payment by bank card at the counter (Mastercard, Maestro, Visa, Visa Electron, VPay).  We do not accept cash payment.

Notarial Services

Please ensure that documents relating to the notarial services you require from the Australian Embassy, are presented in the correct form and that you provide the correct instructions for the notarial service you require.  If you are unsure of the legislative requirements relating to the notarial service you require, you should seek independent legal advice.

Please note that neither the Australian Government nor the Australian Embassy in Croatia guarantees the legal effectiveness of the notarised document or the accuracy of its content.  Fees paid for notarial services are non-refundable.

 

Notarial services are offered in person and by appointment only at the Australian Embassy in Zagreb.  Please visit smartraveller before booking an appointment to learn about the different types of notarial services we offer and requirements before we can perform them.  Please bring your valid passport or ID card and the original documents to the appointment.

Notarial service fees must be paid by bank card only (Mastercard, Maestro, Visa, Visa Electron, VPay) in Croatian kuna.  Fees may vary month to month, please click here for the fees schedule.

Counter hours

Client counter hours are from  9:00 am – 12:00 pm Monday to Friday.

AUSTRALIAN BIRTHS, DEATHS AND MARRIAGES CERTIFICATES

Each state and territory in Australia has a registry of births, deaths and marriages (RBDM).  You can apply to the registry for official copies of certificates via their websites. 

To find RBDM websites with addresses and contact information, please search the internet - for example: NSW RBDM or Vic RBDM.
